February 2004 NEWSLETTER

Good Day Post #57 Member!

Enclosed is a copy of the minutes from the January 20th Post meeting to let you know what your Post has been up to.  There are also miscellaneous tidbits of information that you might find useful.  Our next meeting is on February 17th and we hope to have our first joint meeting night with the Auxiliary.  The divider doors will soon go up and we hope you will try to attend.  Please bring the enclosed copy of the last meeting’s minutes with you if you can attend.

On 20 March at 4pm we will hold our first quarterly Membership Appreciation Social.  We didn’t get a lot of responses but we are going to give it a try.  We will be celebrating January-March birthdays and anniversaries.  Even if you don’t have a birthday or anniversary for those months, come and help us celebrate with those that do.  We will have a no-host bar, snacks and games.  If you just want to get out of the house and have some fun, come and join us!  Remember, it’s free to come!  The only thing you will be paying for are your beverages.  If you haven’t contacted me with your information, please do so either by calling me at 637-2240 (leave a message if I’m not home) or email me at  rockin_g@netzero.com .  Remember, this is for all Post members—the Auxiliary included.  For those of you who live out of state, if you happen to be visiting on 20 March, make sure you stop by!

If you have any other ideas for activities for the Post, please let us know!  Come share your ideas with us at the next Post meeting on February 17th.  Remember, this is your post and your inputs do matter.

In order to save on postage, I would like to be able to email this newsletter along with the meeting minutes to as many Post members as possible.  I’ve received a couple of email addresses and I know that a lot of you don’t have computers but if you do, please email me at rockin_g@netzero.com and I will add your email to the list.  Make sure you let me know who you are when you send me the email so I know whom the email address belongs to.

If you have an article or piece of information that you think would be of interest to the whole Post, let me know and I will include it in the first newsletter after receiving the information.  You can get me the information by emailing me, dropping it off at the Post or mailing it to the Post at P.O. Box 45 or calling me at 637-2240.
